Great post! It can be discouraging when you try to compare yourself to others. It was hard for me in the beginning too. So you have to get past that and simply compare yourself against yourself by consistently tracking your progress. And that goes beyond just tracking weights and reps. How do you look and feel? Do you notice that you don't get sick as often anymore, now that you're more fit? Have you noticed that you can eat like a horse now and not gain weight? Ok, as long as it is healthy food and not twinkies. ;)

Maybe I will never have numbers like Tony or Jason. That's ok. But if I keep at it and I feel better, stronger, and more capable than I've ever felt before, that's good enough for me.

10 times your body weight for overhead squat?????? Let's see 190 x 10 = 1,900 pounds. Shit, I better set higher goals!
